Anton Justad began his professional journey at The Decal Source in 2004. While studying Business at UNCG he worked as an entry-level Production Associate on 1^st and 2^nd shift. Working in the different areas of production from shipping, finishing, and eventually landing in the cutting department. Eager to master the cutting software and hardware, he studied product manuals and help files. It is there where he developed his first solution for TDS automating the print cut workflow through a custom-built registration positioning system. Anton caught management’s attention when this new process increased accuracy and reduced the finishing labor required for jobs.

Building upon his printing production experience Anton self-taught himself the graphics programs used to create decals and wraps. When a position opened in the Art department he quickly applied and got the job. With a deep understanding of graphic programs and the TDS production environment, he developed an automated file setup system using custom coded macros and scripts still used today. Anton started to cultivate a positive culture within the art department that would soon spread to the rest of the organization. The positive culture was one of excellence through continuous improvement, teamwork, and automation.

When the Operations Manager position became available Anton was selected to fill the role. As operations manager he oversaw every department except Sales. Now a graduate from the UNCG Bryan School of Business he was positioned to dig his heels in and focus on the organization’s operation efficiency. No stranger to long hours and working to make it happen Anton continued to build winning teams and promoted streamlined processes in each department through lean principles and technology automation. He pushed the organization to achieve many industry related certifications in the installation and production department positioning TDS for growth and success.

After 11 years with the company Anton was presented with a partnership opportunity. Now as a partner in The Decal Source he continued his journey into a Vice President of Sales and Operations role. Anton redefined the vision for the Sales department using his previous experience and success as a template. Following this he led TDS through double digit year-over-year growth and an acquisition of a local company’s Wide Format Division. This propelled TDS into a regional and national print powerhouse.

Now Anton is the President of The Decal Source. His focus remains true to the culture and business. He continues to cultivate the company’s skills and develop the organization’s core competencies. His emphasis on continued training and development of each department’s team will ensure TDS remains a leader in the industry. “I enjoy being hands on and hearing firsthand from employees and customers about ways to improve our products and services.”
